If 10 incorrect PIN code attempts are entered, the keypad locks out for about 3 minutes before allowing more entries.

How are low battery warnings handled?

When the batteries are low, the lock’s indicator will flash and sound a low battery alert — at that point, replace the batteries soon.

What type of batteries and how long do they last?

The lock runs on 4 AA alkaline batteries (supplied or as advised in the manual). Typical battery life is many months depending on usage.
